One redeveloper.
A new Stamford.

In 1960 the company signed on to transform the core of the city, a project that required relocating 1,100 families and 400 businesses and drew $100 million in Federal, State and City funds. Planner Victor Gruen & Associates drew the master plan. What followed turned an eroding industrial city into a magnet for blue-chip corporations and world-class arts, education and health care.

For a time, Stamford was home to the third-largest concentration of Fortune 500 companies in the country.

Today the Foundation supports Mill River Park, home to the Rich Pantry, and the Boys & Girls Club's Mary C. Rich Clubhouse, which runs sports, wellness, STEM and after-school programs for grades 4 to 12.
